This method will save you the trip to the rune essence field

What forging means is that instead of selling 2 coals and 1 iron for an estimated price of around 400gps, you can refine them together at a furnace to make a steel bar, which may sell bounty bay gold for a whopping 500-700 gps.

Silver bars are also a good way to lean as some crafters will buy them for a good amount of cash. Most fellow players of Runescape that use the art of forging can make about 75k per hour.

Although it would take more time for you to mine the rune essences and then crafting them, it would gain you more rune-crafting exp and save you extra trips to the rune essence field. This is why the higher your rune-crafting level is, the more time you’ll be able to save yourself.

Another idea you could use is to buy rune essences for 20-40gps each from other players and then craft them at a rune altar and resell them.

Of course, this method will save you the trip to the rune essence field but you won’t be able to make as much money.
